Sanyo Introduces Interactive Touch Projector

On January 18, 2011 Sanyo Electric Co. announced the introduction of its PLC-WL2503 interactive projector.  This model is capable of producing WXGA resolution (1280 x 800) at 2500 lumens and 500:1 contrast ratio.  It also utilizes an ultra-short throw ratio lens, resulting in production of images from 60 to 110 inches, with an 80-inch image requiring only 34-inch throw distance.

Today, MicroVision officially announced the demonstration of a Mini-Tablet with embedded pico projector.  Widely-anticipated by followers of the company, this device looks to be aimed at OEMs as a demostrator for what is possible in new devices featuring pico projection.  Microvision describes the devices as follows:
